Different fixing systems and structural components are selected for specific shapes, forms and surfaces in different locations.
Flexene can be applied and finished on site or pre-fabricated, finished then installed on site.
Support systems may be classified as follows :
(starting from the simplest and most economical)
1. STUD FRAME & SHEETING
Conventional straight timber or steel studs clad with a flat board for fixing Flexene at any point.
2. WEB FRAME
Timber studs and plates cut from sheet board to a curved profile for fixing Flexene to their edges.
3. PROPIETARY FRAMES
Lightweight Segmented metal studs and plates equal to flex-c track or tracks formed by radius track equipment.
4. COMPOSITE FRAME
Timber studs segmented with ganghail fixings and offset projecting battens.
5. ADJUSTABLE FIXING
Timber or steel frame with adjustable clips & rods equal to the Rondo key-lock system.
6. STEEL FRAME
Curved steel frame, tube or sections fabricated to the profile of the required shape.
7. PRE FABRICATION
Flexene fixed to a frame and factory finished then installed on site.
8. MONOCOQUE
Free form Flexene temporarily held to profile, finished both sides to provide a thin shell like element.
